Job Description

BD Medical – Pharmaceutical Systems provides industry-leading needle technologies, prefillable syringes, safety and shielding systems, and self-injection systems for pharmaceutical and biotech companies across the globe. The teams offer an extensive selection of solutions designed to protect, package and deliver drug therapies. Billions of products are manufactured by our 7 global factories each year.

Our business unit is further developing its leadership in the field of advanced prefillable syringes, thanks to innovative technologies .

To lead strategic marketing for a future range of products and prepare its global launch, whose success will be pivotal to BD expansion in this field, we are recruiting a Senior Global Marketing Manager.

Reporting directly to the Global Portfolio Marketing Director for Pharmaceutical Systems, this high visibility role will be a unique opportunity to impact the expansion of the business unit’s strategy in terms of products and services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop a thorough understanding of emerging customer needs through market data and engagement with leading customers
  • Develop, translate and use customer insights as critical input to drive product and service platform roadmap, ensuring timely development, fitness with market needs and differentiation. In dialogue with R&D, Quality, Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Heath Economics-Outcomes Research and Finance, deliver differentiated offering with attractive value proposition and evidence-based claims for our customers.
  • Support the Global Product Development System (GPDS) process as a core team member for the assigned project(s).
  • Develop a global marketing and related launch plan for the assigned product platform that defines « how to win,” including market development, evidence generation, marketing communications, pricing strategies, promotional strategies, and customer-facing associate training.
  • Utilize and activate principles of segmentation, targeting and value proposition development. Develops content and strategies for promotional materials and programs including sales aids, advertising, digital campaigns, and external events, working with the Marketing Communications team.
  • Drive implementation of promotion and integrated campaigns in coordination with other marketing functions, ensuring high awareness as well as consistent and impactful messaging across target audiences
  • Effectively partner with sales, regional and segment marketing and other functions to execute the Marketing Plan in line with business performance, vision, strategy and goals.
  • Recommend life cycle management strategies to global portfolio and innovation marketing and product platforms.
  • Who are you?

    Holding a master degree in Engineering and/or Business or Marketing/Communication you have a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.

    Essential skills:

  • Analytical reasoning abilities, intellectual curiosity, strong business acumen, and creativity in problem solving
  • Ability to interact effectively with/present to (verbally and in writing) all levels of the organization up to Senior Executives.
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed environment and standing out as a successful collaborator
  • Ability to be agile & nimble to changing business conditions, strong collaboration, and teamwork across functional groups to contribute to a productive work culture.
  • Fluency in French and English are required
